Color

I love to paint, to dip a brush, sponge, or finger into a pot of paint and smoosh it with another color to see what happens. I do not think ahead (cannot tolerate paint mixing charts). I prefer to make do and try to "fix" the appearance as I go. Sometimes I even start by making it as ugly (e.g. muddy or garish) as possible. It gives me a place to start.

The image to the left is one of my paintings on magnetic sheets, which I use to create my Fraglets Art. I placed a few very lovely leaves that I picked up from the sidewalk on my way to work.  I love leaves.  You'll find out more about what I do with them if you visit my tumblr blog.

The gallery of images below are either the colors in nature that inspire me (mostly leaves), or the sheets of paintings I do in preparation for

Hello - I'm in love with your art work! I'm asking for a fraglet for christmas. What a cool idea. I love your use of color and leaves. I have a leaf color obsession in the fall.
Great job on the blog. I'm looking forward to continuing to read it.
Dawn (from your Gotham class).

    Brief Bio:

What keeps me sane is being able to see, feel, and appreciate the color, space, and shapes of whatever I interact with.  Sometimes, it's human beings. Other times, it's nature. What I really like is the tangible nature of creating art for myself, whether it be through paint, words, or some way of expressing it.

    Stay connected.
