Art, Health, Education, and Well-beingAs an artist with graduate degrees in both education and public health, Kathy Parsonnet is committed to the integration of the arts in education, healthcare, and general well-being. Art workshops and residencies using both Fraglets® Art and Sans-Colle Collage art forms offer her the pleasure of sharing that with others.
About Artist Residencies and Workshops
In addition to being a painter, my professional experience as a therapeutic artist and educator bring me into contact with people of all ages, and I love to be part of their creative pursuits. In the course of working with people of all ages and abilities, I have developed a number of art forms, including Fraglets® Art and Sans-Colle Collage™ (AKA, "painted tape"). These are designed to inspire artistic play and encourage experimentation with color and design. Both mediums make art accessible to all, regardless of art experience, age, or physical ability. My artist residencies have taken place in elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as hospitals, cancer centers, and universities. I also offer creativity workshops for the workplace. What people create with these colors is pretty amazing, and most tell me that they've never thought of themselves as artistically inclined. |
Above are a few samples of what others have created during my workshops using the Sans-Collage technique and Fraglets Art magnetic process.
